CASE STUDY 01 · RETAIL & OPERATIONS

One customer website. One private operating system.

Beechboro Fresh Seafood needed more than a polished homepage. The real job was to make customer requests clearer while giving staff a protected place to manage the work behind them.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

A brochure website would have solved the wrong problem.

01

The challenge

The shop handles walk-in retail, pickup requests, restaurant enquiries, seafood preparation, payment confirmation, stock work and staff handoffs. Simply publishing opening hours and a contact form would still leave the important details fragmented.

02

The approach

We separated the experience into two purpose-built platforms. Customers get a clear public path for browsing and requesting. Staff get a protected operational workspace with the controls customers should never see.

THE SOLUTION

Two platforms, each designed for the person using it.

PLATFORM 01

Customer website

A premium, responsive shopfront that helps customers act—not merely read.

  • Mobile-friendly seafood catalogue and product information
  • Pickup requests with product and preparation details
  • Restaurant and event enquiry workflow
  • Deposit proof, balance visibility and request references
  • Status tracking and customer notification messages
PLATFORM 02

Staff operations

A separate internal workspace for the people processing stock, requests and customer handoffs.

  • Role-protected staff and administrator access
  • Order desks with clear processing stages
  • Daily stock, inventory and product-management tools
  • Pricing, payment-proof and preparation-proof controls
  • Operational records built around the shop’s actual routine

CONNECTED WORKFLOW

From customer request to shop handoff.

The interface follows the work in the order it actually happens.

  1. 01

    Browse

Customers can understand the range, shop information and request rules before contacting staff.

  2. 02

    Request

The website captures products, preparation preferences, collection or delivery details and contact information.

  3. 03

    Process

Staff review stock, confirm the final details, manage payment proof and move the request through preparation.

  4. 04

    Track

The customer follows the request by reference while the team keeps each handoff visible in the private system.

THE OUTCOME

A working digital operation—not a portfolio mock-up.

The public website and private staff system are live products built around the shop’s real workflow. This case study does not invent conversion rates or time-saving percentages that were never measured.

Structured requests

Important customer details arrive through a consistent workflow instead of being scattered across separate messages.

Clearer handoffs

Status, preparation notes and payment evidence stay connected to the request staff are working on.

Separated access

Customer information stays public where appropriate, while staff controls remain inside a protected workspace.

Built as an evolving business system. New catalogue content and operational improvements can be added without turning the public site into a staff dashboard.
